
The train travels north through Bernheim Forest and the Jim Beam distillery property to Limestone Springs and back.
The trip is a 37 mile round trip excursion. The train ride is approximately 2 ½ hours. Special children's excursions, for ages 3 through 12, and breakfast excursions are approximately 1 ½ hours in length.
The train stops in Limestone Springs where the Engines run around the train to pull it back. Passengers do not get off the train.
Children ages 5 through 12 are permitted to ride the lunch, dinner and murder mystery excursions. We also offer children’s excursions for ages 3 through 12. Check under special events for the dates and times of these excursions.
Children’s menu choices, for ages 5 through 12, are offered at a reduced price.
The Dinner Train & Depot are non-smoking.
To guarantee seating, payment must be made in advance. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
Private seating may be purchased for an additional fee. The fee is $75 for lunch, $100 for dinner and $125 for the murder mystery excursions.
Full bar service is available on the train and in the train depot except on Sundays.
All dining cars are equipped with restrooms.
The final price you are given includes the meal, excursion and tax. Gratuity and cocktails are not included.

Tickets can be picked up at the ticket counter in the train depot at 602 North Third Street in Bardstown, Kentucky. Tickets are there an hour before train departure time. Boarding is also at that location.
The dress code is business casual.
They are theater productions that are performed on the train by professional actors. Passengers may participate in the production if they wish. Murder Mysteries are offered several times throughout the year.

All of our tables seat 4 as in the tradition of railroad dining. Parties of 5 are seated 3 at one table and 2 at the table directly across the isle. Parties of 6 are seated 4 at one table and 2 directly across the isle. In both the above cases there is a chance a party of 2 will be seated with the remaining party of 2. In the case of 7 we sit 4 at one table and 3 directly across from them.
