In 2002, the Eastern Kentucky Line began operation as a division of the R.J. Corman Railroad Company/Bardstown Line. The line was purchased from CSX after several years of inactivity. It is 35 miles in length beginning at the CSX interchange in Paintsville, KY and extending to Evanston, KY. The current major customer is a coal mine operation where unit trains are loaded and then moved by R .J. Corman Eastern Kentucky Line to CSX interchange. This line is expected to add additional coal, oil and scrap customers in the near future.
