Natural Disaster Response

Natural disaster response is the mobilization of personnel, equipment and materials to restore railroad infrastructure damaged by floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, landslides, wildfires or other natural events.

The response may include assessment, debris removal, temporary access, washout repair, track reconstruction and other work needed to resume rail service.
