R. J. Corman Hosts Kentuckians for Better Transportation’s Annual Mid-Year Luncheon

On Thursday, June 6th, R. J. Corman Railroad Group had the honor of hosting Kentuckians for Better Transportation (KBT) for its annual mid-year luncheon. 

Kentuckians for Better Transportation is an organization that educates and advocates for a safe and sustainable transportation network in the Commonwealth. KBT’s initiatives include securing funding for Kentucky’s air transportation, local road, highway and bridge network, safety improvements to at-grade rail crossings, public riverports, and public transit providers. 

KBT’s new chairman, R. J. Corman Railroad Group Director of Government Affairs, William Downey, welcomed the participants. During the event, the members of KBT had the opportunity to learn about the history of R. J. Corman Railroad Group, shared by R. J. Corman Railroad Services, VP of Operations, Nick Edelen.  

“It is an honor to serve as chairman of the Kentuckians for Better Transportation,” said William Downey. “KBT serves as the leading advocacy organization in Kentucky for all modes of transportation. I appreciate R. J. Corman and other KBT board members who have supported me along the way. I look forward to continuing our success of advancing good policy and legislation for the transportation industry across the Commonwealth.”
