R. J. Corman Railroad Company's Tennessee Terminal Selected for BNSF Shortline Select Program

R. J. Corman Railroad Company’s Tennessee Terminal (RJCK) has been selected to join BNSF Railway’s Shortline Select program, marking an important step forward in strengthening service and connectivity for customers across the network.

The Shortline Select program, launched by BNSF in 2024, brings together short line railroads and BNSF to create enhanced service opportunities for shippers. The program combines the flexibility and responsiveness of short line railroads with the extensive reach of BNSF’s network, which spans thousands of miles across the United States and Canada.

Selection into the program reflects a shared commitment to reliability, operational efficiency, and customer growth. Through Shortline Select, participating railroads collaborate with BNSF to improve key performance metrics, streamline service, and expand access to new markets.

The RJCK plays an important role in connecting regional customers to the broader rail network. Participation in the program will provide additional opportunities to enhance service offerings, strengthen partnerships, and support long-term economic growth in the communities served.

In addition to operational collaboration, the program offers opportunities for participation in initiatives such as BNSF’s Premier Transload Program and Certified Site program, further increasing visibility and accessibility for rail-served locations.

Shannon Drown, Chief Commercial Officer – Railroads, emphasized the significance of this designation, “Selection of the Tennessee Terminal (RJCK) for BNSF’s Shortline Select program reflects R. J. Corman’s long‑standing partnership with BNSF and our continued focus on supporting customer success. Our growth in the Memphis, Tennessee market alongside BNSF has been driven by delivering integrated, reliable service and partnering on strategic initiatives with our customers, including industrial development efforts to bring new business to the network.”

Thank you to BNSF for including the RJCK in the Shortline Select program and for their continued partnership.
