R. J. Corman's Josie Curtis Honored by Railway Age as a "2023 Woman in Rail"

Josie Curtis, Vice President of People Services at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, has been recognized by Railway Age as one of the industry's leading women in 2023. This prestigious award honors outstanding female leaders who are making significant contributions to the North American rail industry.

Over 15 years, she has been a key member of R. J. Corman's People Services (HR.) Under Josie's leadership, the department implemented the Human Resources Business Partner model, where each R. J. Corman company has a dedicated human resources representative.

Her influence reaches beyond R. J. Corman's walls. She is a role model for women in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Her dedication to fair treatment and equal opportunities for women within the company is commendable. Additionally, her participation in industry boards and associations, such as the American Short Line Railroad Association (ASLRRA), allows her to share her expertise and inspire others.

Josie's dedication extends to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association in Central and Eastern Kentucky, actively involved in fundraising and promoting public health initiatives. She is also a member of the R. J. Corman Charitable Contributions Committee, supporting various non-profits across the country.
