Jake Weir Named a 2025 Rising Star by Progressive Railroading

R. J. Corman Railroad Company is proud to announce that Jake Weir, Senior Director of Industrial Development, has been named a 2025 Rising Star by Progressive Railroading magazine.

Jake joined R. J. Corman in 2024, bringing more than 15 years of experience in industrial development, including over 18 years at Class I railroads. Since then, he has played a key role in guiding the company’s industrial development strategy and delivering customer-focused rail solutions that promote business growth and innovation.

He is active in industry organizations such as the Kentucky Association of Economic Development, the Tennessee Economic Development Council, and the Ohio Economic Development Association, where he continues to advocate for the advancement of rail and regional economic development.

The Rising Stars program recognizes railroad professionals under the age of 40 who have made, or are making, a positive impact in the rail industry. Jake’s recognition reflects his leadership, industry knowledge, and commitment to advancing rail-based economic development.
