Shannon joined R. J. Corman in 2019 and advanced through several positions within Commercial and Industrial Development before assuming her current role as Chief Commercial Officer - Railroad. She is a highly experienced freight rail and logistics sales leader with a proven track record of driving growth with rail-centric solutions. In her current role, Shannon leads commercial strategy, sales execution, key account management, and industrial development across R. J. Corman, including 19 short line railroads, industrial switching operations, distribution centers, and third‑party mechanical services. She manages and develops a national sales team and creates the business strategy, integrated marketing and sales plans that drive revenue growth and expand market share with both existing customers and new business.  

Prior to joining R. J. Corman, Shannon held leadership roles spanning engineering, industrial development, and sales with CSX Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and was recognized as a Railway Age Women in Rail honoree in 2022. Shannon is currently a member of the CSX Short Line Committee and the BNSF Short Line Caucus, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Kentuckians for Better Transportation and the American Cancer Society.
