Shannon Drown Announced as Assistant Vice President of Commercial Development, Railroads

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky – R. J. Corman Railroad Company is pleased to announce Shannon Drown as its new Assistant Vice President of Commercial Development, Railroads, effective immediately. Drown will be leading the commercial development team, sales efforts, and key account management for the R. J. Corman Railroad Company, reporting to Justin Broyles, Executive Vice President, Commercial Affairs.

Drown brings more than ten years of experience in the railroad industry specializing in industrial development, supply chain management, and sales, into this new role. Shannon joined R. J. Corman in 2019 as Director, Commercial Development. In this position, she successfully managed the commercial endeavors of the R. J. Corman Memphis Line, the R. J. Corman Central Kentucky Lines, and the R. J. Corman Bardstown Line, driving sustained growth and strengthening relationships with existing accounts.

Prior to her position with R. J. Corman, Shannon held leadership positions with Union Pacific Railroad and CSX Transportation. Shannon holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
