LEXINGTON, KY – The Short Line Safety Institute (SLSI) will train area first responders in hazardous materials incident response at three Kentucky locations from October 31 through November 8, 2023. Fire departments in Anchorage, Middleton, Frankfort, and Lexington will participate in the Railroad Emergency Response Training program.

R. J. Corman Railroad Services was honored to receive the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association's (NRC) Safe Contractor of the Year – Platinum Award for their achievements in safety during 2022. The award was presented at the NRC's 43^rd Annual Conference.

Last month the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) announced a record number of member railroads that qualified for a Jake Safety Award and Jake Safety Award with Distinction.
