R. J. Corman had the pleasure of hosting Kentucky Secretary of Transportation Greg Thomas and his Chief of Staff Asa Swan at headquarters on December 5th. They had the opportunity to tour the campus and stopped by the shops to see the employees at work and the day to day functions of the facilities.

R. J. Corman Railroad Group is pleased to announce a partnership with the Kentucky Labor Cabinet to create an Apprenticeship program. R. J. Corman seeks to continue investing resources into people, and it is expected that this program will help with the recruitment and retention of new employees.

Thirty years ago, Richard J. Corman purchased his first short line railroad in Bardstown, Kentucky; this acquisition marked the start of what is known today as R. J. Corman Railroad Company. Since that time, we have expanded to eleven short lines, totaling over 900 miles of track in nine states. Rick’s tenacious spirit and drive to succeed have and continue to inspire us to posture ourselves as a leader in the short line railroad industry.
