NICHOLASVILLE, Ky – R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC announced the finalization of an agreement to acquire Owego and Harford Railway, Inc (OHRY), Lehigh Railway, LLC (LRWY), and Luzerne and Susquehanna Railway Company (LS) as well as TranZ, a transload service provider operating on the short line railroads. These entities are to be purchased by subsidiaries of R. J. Corman Railroad Group from Mr. Steve May, President of OHRY, LRWY, LS and TranZ. The closing is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

As the first short line acquired by the company, R. J. Corman’s Bardstown Line has long served Kentucky’s second oldest city that is trademarked as the Bourbon Capital of the World®. Bourbons named after Elijah Craig, Henry McKenna, and Evan Williams are some of the distilled spirits that make this small town famous for American whiskey.

Even in the midst of a global pandemic there is something to celebrate. There will still be fireworks in Nicholasville, KY this Fourth of July. R. J. Corman Railroad Group is always honored to host Nicholasville’s annual fireworks display.
